New Visa-on-Arrival Issuing SystemInternational travelers had been applying the on arrival visa through Myanmar Embassies abroad and local travel agencies. Since the beginning of 5 May, 2010, Visa-on-Arrival has been issued at Myanmar's two main international airports, Yangon International Airport and Mandalay International Airport.
There are four types of visa as business visa, tourist
visa, transit visa and entry visa.
The visa is granted in compliance with the following rules including the visitors' declaration.

- Visa-on-Arrival will be issued to every citizen who is holding the passport issued by the country concerned according to the rules and regulations.
- The Passport validity of the applicant must be at least (6) months from the arrival day.
- (28) Days will be permitted for tourist visa and the visa fee is US$ 30. The stay period cannot be extended for this visa.
- (71) Days will be permitted for business visa and the visa fee is US$ 40. The stay period can be extendable.
- (28) Days will be permitted for entry visa and the visa fee is US$ 40. The stay period can be extendable.
- (24) Hours will be permitted for transit visa and the visa fee is US$18.
- The visitor must have return air ticket for departure from Myanmar.
- The visitor must stay at the hotel, motel and guest house which is holding official license issued by the Government of Myanmar. The visitor must declare the definite address where he or she will stay.
- Those who will stay at the factory, mill and their relatives and friends' house must declare the address definitely.
- Two passport size photos 4x6cm (35mmx45mm) which was taken within (6) months must be brought for visa application.
- The visitor should be a person who can give guarantee to abide all the existing laws in Myanmar, including Myanmar Immigration Law.
- Children under the age of 7 who is attached with parents' passport shall be allowed visa together with the parents free of charge.
Children under the age of 7 who is holding separate passport shall be allowed visa fees free of charge.
- At least US$300 must be declared for individual visitors and US$600 for visiting as family. Or Foreign Currency equivalent to the above mentioned US$ amount must be declared.
- The visitor must stay and visit on compliance with the existing visa rules and regulations.
- The visitor must not be allowed to visit restricted areas no permission. Restricted Areas must be informed to the foreigner by the tour company.
- The visitor must report the places of their stay to the Township Immigration and National Registration Department through the hotel, motel, inn, guesthouse or residence and offices.
